What a terroir! Since 2006, the biologically designed and cultivated Sitenrain-Rebberg vineyard has stood on the Megger Sonnenhang, right on the outskirts of Lucerne. The vineyard belonging to the Breitschmid-Heiniger family, covering an area of almost three hectares, is one of the biggest organic vineyard businesses in the German-speaking region of Switzerland. The favourable Megger climate and the special minerality of the weather-beaten sandstone ground provide the basis for the organic wines’ high quality. Nora Breitschmid and her team, supported by the whole family, look after the farm and the vines. Some unique products are created in this unconventional family-run business, which stand out from the run-of-the-mill.
