Reinhard Knispel has been brewing the well-known Lucerne «Rathaus Beer» since the Rathaus Brauerei was founded in 1998 – right on the popular promenade on the arcade floor of Lucerne town hall. The Munich native learned his craft in a medium-sized brewery just outside the city gates of Munich, which he then refined during his time spent as an apprentice at various breweries. He mastered his art at Doemen’s master brewer’s academy in Munich. 1,000 litres of beer can be brewed in a single brewing process at the Rathaus Brauerei. 1,600 hectolitres leave the brew kettles every year.
